On November 5 2024, the digitized service for animal utilisation was launched. For the first time, livestock data can be reused without having to be re-typed. This is done now through secure, multi-directional and multi-party data exchange. The declaration process was simplified and accelerated, and the risk of possible errors should be significantly reduced for livestock farmers. Importantly, in that case a tripartite standard procedure enables a third party to use the same data obtained from the declaration process as input to deliver a business service. EDC is proud that we were among the first to demonstrate how regulations can be leveraged as a competitive advantage. The creation of another paperless solution in innovation cooperation is important, as well as the possibility of building the following external services based on animal register data. Both are significant in the future outlook of livestock farming.
Under the leadership of Estonian Dairy Cluster, data exchange between the two ARIB registers improved, data exchange between ARIB and Vireen AS was established, and Vireen AS also digitized its internal processes. Additional information about service (in Estonian) can be found on the ARIB website and Vireen website. The work was carried out within the framework of the fifth subsection of Estonian Dairy Cluster Digitalization Action Plan (Describing use cases for multilateral data exchange with the preparation of a data exchange pattern, compiling and conducting pilot tests)
